Assembling Envelope Liners

Adding envelope liners is a wonderful way to dress up your invitation suite. It’s the perfect piece that can add a pop of color or add texture. They can be customizable. A scenic background, your personal monogram, or a simple pattern will give your guests a sense of theme and tone of your wedding. They are not necessary to have, but they definitely add a layer of interest.

ASSEMBLING

You’ll have to stuff your invitations yourself if you receive your invitations a la carte. Many brides worry about messing up their liners, so if you’re one of them, here is a simple and most effective way of assembling them without any fuss.

TIPS

  • Address your envelopes before you add your envelope liners.

  • You can use double-sided tape or a glue stick to assemble your liners; however, I highly recommended using glue stick especially if your liners are made our of vellum. My favorite glue stick to use is the Elmers Disappearing Purple Glue Stick.

  • Add your adhesive as close to the edge as possible. I like to place a paper underneath my liner to keep things clean and in case any glue gets on my envelope.

  • Ask friends to help you assemble. It’ll help speed up the process!

Wedding Invite Guide

Wedding invitations have become a low priority item on a newly engaged couple’s list. Cheaper and digital alternatives have become popular and convenient over the years. Though, in my opinion, invitations set the tone of this special celebration, and another email does not scream out “special celebration.” We get enough of those in our inboxes and in our spam folders. I admit, I am biased. I am a person who loves paper, but I respect wherever a couple decides to spend their money. That’s their business! All this to say, I am happy you have come across this blog post, because that means you are interested in sending out invitations.

So now you’re here and you need a little guidance. Below is a guide of the most common pieces (and their sizes) you need for your wedding invitation suite.

sky’s the limit

You can make your invitations as interesting and designed as you want them to be. I am not exaggerating when I say, “Sky’s the limit!” The printing capabilities are endless. Your invitations can be made out of acrylic or handmade, recycled paper. You can literally do what you want, but it might come with a price (just sayin’). With all the possibilities, I like to encourage my couples to use this opportunity to share their love story with their guests. Taking elements from your venue or including something that is unique to your relationship are great ways to add that personal touch to your invitation.

all that matters…

I am a big believer of first impressions. So when you’re thinking about your invitations, remember that they are the first look into your wedding and set the tone of your event. But whether you decide to go the digital route or you want to send your invitations inside of an artisan wood box, all that matters is that your guests receive all the information they need to know about your wedding.

Good luck!

This blog and about a million other posts, memes, and tik tok dances are going to be in the CORONA VIRUS/COVID-19 time capsule. This pandemic has so many of us shook, our worlds have turned out of nowhere and now many of you are adjusting to this new (temporary) norm: #WORKINGFROMHOME. As someone who has been working independently for almost 6 years now, here are some tips that have helped me to make my time working from home productive.

✅ SET A ROUTINE- Staying in our pjs all day sounds fun, but don’t lose that structure! Get ready for the day.  Setting up those daily routines instills good habits.  It makes us more efficient, builds momentum, and actually frees up our time to do as we please.

💧DRINK WATER- Water is good for the brain!  It helps with your concentration and focus, adds more blood flow and oxygen to the brain, and relieves and manages stress better.

🚶GO FOR A WALK- “When your body moves, your brain grooves.” @jimkwik Go get some fresh air! Walking improves working memory and increases your creativity!

🙌 STRETCH- Take a break from sitting! Stretch your arms, legs, and neck to release tension and increase blood flow to your muscles.

🔗CONNECT- Extrovert or not, humans crave connection. During times like these, it is a blessing to have technology that allows us to have virtual hangouts!

I hope these were helpful. And if not, hope you enjoyed my play on typography. Have a good week, everyone! ❤️
