the Yellow & lace story

Hello! I’m Jaclyn, better known as Jac. Yes, I am the face behind Yellow & Lace, but if you have worked with me or follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I am no longer alone. Over the past few years, I have built a team of talented artists and developed a business I never imagined.

Yellow & Lace represents my genuine love for art and my desire to use this gift to serve others in various ways.

Reflecting on the past 10 years, it's incredible to see how Yellow & Lace has grown and transformed. What began with creating invitations expanded into signage, which led to teaching workshops, collaborating with small businesses, connecting with top event coordinators, and eventually evolving into a live art business. Today, Yellow & Lace brings Live Art to weddings, birthdays, showers, brand events, corporate parties, events that focus on celebrating people and providing them with something thoughtful, personal, and memorable.

So why Live Art? Because it combines two of my passions: drawing and connecting with people.

My love for portraiture and drawing people started at a young age and deepened when I took a life drawing class after undergrad. It was rewarding to study and capture the uniqueness of each person and bring it to life on paper. Plus, it was always nice to see the joyful reactions to my drawings.

Through my art, I discovered that it allows people to open up and share their stories. This is what makes this work so special to me.

I take pride in the connections we make at these events. We don’t just make art, we make an experience. We make sure to show your guests the care and attention we put into our work. We hope the art we create for you is something you'll cherish for a long time, reminding you of a sweet memory.

I look forward to working with you soon and bringing this experience to your event.
